Vio Ettiore, The Basilica of St. Mark in Venice (Scala/Riverside, 1999). Beautiful. I'd love to visit Italy.

Why punishment? Reading On Liberty is an amazing experience, I don't think my personal views were ever summed up so beautifully.
Yes St Mark's is AWESOME (though unfortunately one has to pay to see certain things inside, like a piece of the crown of thorns for instance...I certainly didn't pay for that). You MUST visit Italy (and Greece as well).
